Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for Ashley and for the complete healing of her brain. This past February, Ashley was diagnosed with a Meningioma brain tumor. Due to Covid-19, her necessary surgery was delayed until the summer and in June, Ashley underwent the 10-hour brain surgery to remove the tumor.  Unfortunately she recently received news that she must undergo Proton Radiation Therapy in order to treat the part of the tumor that was inoperable. The tumor is pressing against her carotid artery and pituitary gland and causing headaches, vision loss, pressure in her eye, as well as creating a high risk of catastrophic stroke. Unfortunately, insurance has denied this specialized radiation multiple times despite both the Neurosurgeon and Oncologist recommendations. The physicians adamantly believe this is the best form of treatment to help save her life. Without the insurance coverage of the treatment, Ashley must pay $75,000 up front in order to have the treatment performed. 

We are asking all of her friends and family to come together to support Ashley, her husband JD, and their four children - Caleb (10), Cooper (8), Khloe (7), and Chisam (5), during this tough time. Ashley’s positive attitude and outlook never cease to amaze me. The Proton Radiation therapy will be 5 days per week, for 6 weeks. As you can imagine, the cost of Proton treatment, deductibles and copay visits for covered medical appointments, missed work for JD, and caring for their four children will cause an enormous financial strain on her family.

To help relieve this financial burden and to help save her life, we felt led to raise money to help Ashley pay for her treatment. 

Ashley is the kindest, most gracious, caring woman that anyone will ever meet.  She spends her time volunteering at her children’s elementary school and giving back to the community that she loves. We will stand with Ashley and her family during this fight, each step of the way, and we ask her community to come together and stand with us.

All funds raised will go directly to Ashley’s medical costs and related expenses for Ashley and her family.
