On 1/26/2020 Ashley Welsh became a victim of domestic violence and attempted homicide.  She got into an altercation with her boyfriend Branden and was shot in the head.

It was only after Branden left Ashley for dead and fled the scene, that neighbors called the police.  The first responder's encountered a gruesome site of Ashley alone, hanging on to life.

When Ashley arrived at the hospital the Doctors devised a plan to try to save her, while close family and friends rallied together in prayer for a miracle that would spare her life. By the Grace of God she survived the surgery that had shrapnel lodged in her brain. The effects of the shooting left her in partial paralysis of her right side and disfigurement.

Ashley is a local hairstylist that has always been dedicated to her family, friends and church community.   She is known for her bright peppy spirit, love for children and the outdoors. She is cherished and loved by many and needs your help and prayers.

Ashley is now in rigorous physical therapy and has undergone several reconstructive surgeries. She currently battling complications with swelling to her tongue and brain that has led to leech therapy, which has assisted in bringing down the swelling.  She is cheerful and aware but can't speak at this time.

Her recovery could take up to two years and needs her parent's constant support and assistant. Ashley's parents are doing their best to be by her side day and night. Ashley's mom Lori and her father Greg are finding it hard to manage leave with their employers.

Although they are getting some victim advocate assistance they are struggling to meet their financial responsibilities and be at the hospital. They are constantly on call to make vital decisions with the triage pertaining to the ever-changing developments that aid in her recovery. They need to be there!

This beautiful family needs our communities help.  They have always been thoughtful and supportive of others.. Anything helps..but above all, Ashley needs your prayers.
