Ashley (Set on fire by her ex-husband)

On Saturday January 5, 2019 Ashley was taking her son for a court ordered visit with his dad.. As she was dropping him off her ex husband jumped in the back seat of the car.. She kept telling him to get out of the car because she had a protective order on him.. He was not allowed to be near her or he was violating the order.. she asked him 5 different times to get out as he kept talking.. He wanted to talk about the restraining order.. She told him one more time to get out or she would call the police.. He didnt so she started to call 911 when he proceeded to throw gas on her and set her on fire.  She said the minute it hit her face it felt like her face was peeling right of her. The fire was burning her face and hands. She had enough sense to jump out of the car and drop and roll.. She said it still wasnt putting all of the fire out.She screamed but noone came. She tore off her coat and tried putting  out the fire with her coat. She got up and headed back to her car..  The seat was on fire and she tried putting out the fire with her coat. she did enough so she could jump in and she took off.. she went to a  Pizza Shop, went in and asked them to call the police which they did.. They were going to Life Flight her because of her massive injuries to her face and hands but something was wrong with  Life Flight so the Ambulance took her. My husband received the call that changed our lives that day.. He came home and we headed to the hospital not knowing what to expect when we got there.. All we were told was she was set on fire.. WE got there and she was alive.. That is all I cared about. I kept saying as long as she is alive they can help her.. If she had died  we would of lost my precious niece.. NO ONE deserves what happened that day to her, especially Ashley. The fire had  burned her face, hands, her hair, and they found soot up her nose. So they put a tube down her throat because they weren't sure if it affected her lungs.. The worse part of all of this is her son had went in the house and was hanging his coat up when his dad came in and told him he set his mom on fire. He looked outside and seen him mom on fire. His dad ran out of the house and in a few minutes he followed. His dad was gone and so was his mom (that was when she jumped in her car and took off). He went back in and called his grandma.... Ashley's burns were extensive on her face & hand. This could take awhile to heal.. What will be hard to fix not only physically & mentally will be what her son saw.. His whole world changed that day. To know his dad set his mom on fire to kill her and he was a witness to it. Ashley will not be able to work for a long time with her  recovering from the massive burns she received  and school will be delayed also but she will go back and finish.. So proud of her..She needs her hands to work and to use for school.. The hands were burnt worse than her face... She has a son to take care of with no money, no car (car was burned to bad). She will have huge medical bills!!! Down the road she will have to take her son for counseling.  For now she needs to concentrate on healing an not getting any infections. If we all can come together and be a blessing to Ashley and make it one less thing she has to worry about right now I know she would be so appreciated of the kindness of everyone.. She has so much on her mind now ..She has talked to the police numerous times, extensive therapy, trying to stay away from germs so she doesnt get her face nor hands infection,   worried about the bills adding up, to come up with  money for food and her normal bills with no income  and on and on..Most importantly the healing of the mind for her son and herself of what a unbelievable insane act of cruelty was done to her that day..   Any amount would help.. any amount would put food on the table..One less thing when she goes to bed at night to have on her mind.. Thank you for your support and please keep her and her son in your prayers..
