Ashley Rodriguez Hit and Run Accident

Hello y'all, I don't know where to start as this is very hard for me to put my personal life problems out there and be open but I must say for once I am admitting defeat. On April 3rd I was involved in a hit and run accident where the driver hit multiple cars but mine was the first initial impact. It happened at the intersection of Woodward and Ben White as many of my Austin friends from the South area know how notorious this intersection has been throughout the years. I'm extremely lucky and thankful my daughter Penelope was not with me. However, the driver who hit me had left his license plate at the crash, and he is not insured. For me to press charges I have to identify him in a lineup and prove that he was the one driving his vehicle. Which will be hard as he fled the scene immediately. Unfortunately, my insurance is not covering the cost of the damages to my Subaru. I was quoted roughly $16,000 to fix the exterior damages but wasn't given a quote for the mechanical damages. This go fund me is just so I can get a vehicle in the meantime while I fix my Subaru little by little.
For those who don't know me, I'm a construction manager at a nonprofit where we build tiny homes for the chronically homeless and weatherization repairs on homes for low-income families. I go to school part time, studying Construction Science and Project Management while being a single mom. I'm not very good at asking for help when I need it as I grew up this way. But for me to continue this journey I'm asking for help in any way possible.
