Last month, Ashley discovered lumps in her breast. It was found that the lumps were LCIS (Lobular Carcinoma In Situ) which means her lobe has precancerous contained cells in it that raise her chances of getting breast cancer. This was found in one breast, and her other contained Phyllode tumors. With her family having a history of breast cancer, she has made the difficult decision to have a double bilateral mastectomy. Ashley has chosen to have the surgery completed at the Mayo in Rochester.
Ashley will be out of work for at least six weeks, if not longer. There will be many follow-up trips to Rochester. We are fundraising to assist Ashley and her family to help cover medical costs, fuel, and missed wages for being off of work.
