Ashley Marie Lapierre
Beschermde donatie
Last week, our family experienced a tragedy that has left us heartbroken and shaken. My beautiful sister-in-law, Ashley Marie Lapierre, was taken from us far too soon in a devastating auto accident. She was only 35 years old.
Ashley was so much more than a sister-in-law—she was my sister, my friend, and a true light in our family. She made my brother, Ray Lapierre, so incredibly happy. She cared for our parents as if they were her own and embraced my children with a love that only someone with a truly open heart could give. Her warmth, kindness, and radiant smile touched everyone who knew her.
Ashley came from a loving, close-knit family who meant everything to her. She was the cherished daughter of Glenn and Tammy Byrtus and the beloved sister of KayLee and Emily. The bond between Ashley and her family was deep and unbreakable—one built on laughter, care, and unwavering support. She adored her parents and sisters, and they adored her right back. As a mother myself, I am absolutely gutted that her parents must now endure the unthinkable—saying goodbye to their daughter.
Ashley had a unique way of making others feel seen and loved. She was endlessly creative—cross-stitching, crocheting, sewing, and crafting with incredible care and thoughtfulness. She found joy in the little things: turtles, "Lilo & Stitch", and every moment spent surrounded by family and friends. She was the heart of her home and the soul of ours.
Ashley and Ray were a love story for the ages. From their first date at Block’s Brewery to two beautiful weddings—one in their backyard during the pandemic and a second full celebration with loved ones—Ashley was Ray’s queen bee. They built a life full of laughter, adventure, and devotion to each other and their families. Her absence leaves a hole that can never be filled.
Ray is now left facing not only unimaginable grief but also the many financial burdens that come with such a sudden and tragic loss. We are creating this GoFundMe to help him with Ashley’s funeral and final expenses, and to allow him space to grieve without the added pressure of financial strain.
If you are able, we humbly ask for your support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly to Ray to help ease the burden during this devastating time. And if you’re not in a place to give, please consider sharing this with others who may be able to help, and keeping Ashley, Ray, her parents, sisters, and all of us who love her in your thoughts.
Ashley was truly one of a kind. Her love, light, and laughter will stay with us forever.
Thank you for helping us honor her memory and support Ray in his greatest time of need.
