Ashley holt involved in motorbike accident

Donation protected

On Saturday the 1st of August 2020 my 26 year old younger brother was out on a quick last ride before putting his Harley away for the night, unfortunately he didn’t make it back home. There was a knock at the door from the police saying ash has been involved in a major accident. My best friend told me about the accident, they saw the ambulance doing CPR on him 3 times, they didn't know at the time it was my brother.  Ashley was riding on the highway in Traralgon in the left hand lane as he should be, when a young person in a small dark car pulled DIRECTLY in front of him, not giving way, clearly not looking. Ashley’s bike hit the back wheel of the car knocking Ashley off the bike doing 60kph he hit the road very hard and had to be urgently airlifted to Royal  Melbourne Hospital. Ashley is in a coma  suffering with a punctured lung, numerous broken ribs, spinal damage, several bleeds in his brain, fractured skull and broken bones in his face. We will not know his outcomes for some time. We are all hopeful. We all love Ashley so very much.

Ashley is a confident rider as he has been riding motorbikes since he was a kid. He would have tried his best to avoid the accident but obviously couldn’t. He is loved by us all. Ashley has a best friend, his dog kyro who he loves and treats like a baby. Kyro is missing Ashley so much. We all do. Our mum is so devastated and terribly upset that she can't be by his side because of covid-19. Ashley won't be able to handle not having mum with him as she is our biggest support. When he finally wakes up, he will need her more than ever. We hope Dan Andrews will allow her to be by his side. Mum is not dealing with it well at all, it breaks my heart. She needs him and he needs her.

Ashley is a hard worker, loves the gym, family and friends. He would be destroyed if he could never go to the gym or ride again, we need everyone to pray for him. Please, he's in the fight of his life just to live. We don't know how damaged his brain is.

I am doing this page to try get some help for him as he still has a mortgage and bills to pay and we are not sure how long his recovery will be thank you very much for your time yours sincerely michael. I have also added Rachel our mother as the beneficiary for the donations to go into an account for her to pay Ashley’s mortgage etc while he is Hospital thank you
