Ashley’s prolonged fight

Update 09/26/2023

Ashley is in the hospital with chemo induced pneumonia and fighting to heal after going through chemotherapy.

Hey this is Kayla , fundraising for my sister Ashley who has a grade 3 immature teratoma germ cell ovarian cancer. I’m going to share something our mom has already posted to Facebook as just an fyi and this was posted April 10th….

“Update on Ashley, with her permission, of course.

Ashley will be getting a full body PET scan next week and a port-a-cath placed this Friday for upcoming BEP chemotherapy. She still has to have PFT’s(pulmonary function test) to make sure her lungs can withstand the chemo and she will also be seeing an infertility specialist to ensure if Ashley wants children that she can have them.

The chemo is no joke and she’s gonna be miserable for several months. After the 3-4 cycles they will do another surgery to take biopsies and to ensure that the chemo has taken care of the cancer.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and offered rides, help w my work schedule and just an ear or shoulder to cry on. Ashley has the fight in her and she has a phenomenal support system that will help her get through this. Her oncologist is AMAZING and the whole group at Baptist MD Anderson were phenomenal today.

Just please, please pray for my girl. Say a prayer for all of us, including her sisters and boyfriend. We are going to help her get through this.”

My sister needs all the help she can get. Chemotherapy will make my sister lose her hair and for her to feel more comfortable let’s raise enough for her to get a nice one! Money will also be used to help with treatments and anything to help Ashley get through this rough patch. She starts chemo next week. Please everyone pray for us , share this and donate if you can!
