Ashley Family Fund - Miami Shooting

Donation protected
March 27th updated photo. On June 13th in South Miami-Dade, Ashley Rodriguez, a 21 year old FIU Student, was shot by a stray bullet in the back of the head. Within 2 minutes, the Miami Dade Policy department found her and helped her get to the hospital, where emergency surgery was performed to remove the shattered bone while the bullet had to remain in her jaw for the next two and a half weeks. Ashley was in an induced comatose state during those two weeks fighting for her life. She had swelling in her brain and very unstable vitals. To stabilize Ashley's condition, Doctors had to remove another part of her skull, drain fluids from her lungs and block a blood clog. After 3 long weeks, many prayers and tears, Ashley is finally emerging from the coma slowly. She will require extensive (6 months to 2 years) Rehabilitation to re-learn motor skills and speech. Ashley will be transported directly to a facilty out of State to start her extensive rehabilitation journey. This fund will go directly to the family and help support them during her extensive recovery. Prayers for her full recovery are greatly appreciated.
This is a sensless crime and police are still looking for the shooters.
