Ashley & Eli's IVF Journey

Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, Eli and I have been struggling for a couple of years now to grow our family. Our journey has been an emotional rollercoaster filled with the diagnosis of endometriosis which resulted in two open surgeries to remove an ovary and both of my fallopian tubes, 2 failed In vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts, countless doctors appointments both here in Florida and in New York as well as unpleasant fertility medications. After going on a special diet and medication to improve my egg quality, as well as a biopsy on my uterus to determine the optimal time for implantation, we have reached a point in our journey where our best shot at having a biological child is to do a final round of IVF. Unfortunately, the cost is significant and our insurance does not recognize infertility as a covered benefit. We have already invested thousands of dollars into our journey and have waited and prayed about this for a long time. Now we need your support to finally fulfill our dream of welcoming a baby into our family.
We will be creating a special quilt for our future baby’s room. Every supporter will get their name and, if you want to, a special message on a piece of the quilt. These funds will be used strictly to cover our IVF costs. These costs include, but are not limited to, doctors appointments, blood work, many medications, egg retrieval, fertilization, monitoring of the embryos and cryopreservation of remaining embryos.
Once the quilt is finished, we will display it in our new baby’s room. This will allow us to always remember all of the amazing people who helped bring our family together PIECE by PIECE!
If we receive funds beyond our need we will be donating it to giftofparenthood.org. It helps families and individuals overcome infertility through education, awareness and fertility assistance grants. They provide grants to couples and individuals at least four times a year.
