Hello,

My name is Makayla and I am creating this on behalf of my best friend Ashley and her son Dominic. Yesterday, her 9 year old son was in a freak accident with the lawn mower which severed his foot in half. They rushed to Hurley and were sent to U of M for further care. Ashley was already in between jobs and now will have to put off a new job further as her son will require around the clock care. He will be in a wheelchair and require extensive physical therapy for his injury.

Currently, his first second and third toes have pins. There is no vessel for big toe, and he is missing 2 bones. He has a broken joint in 3rd toe, but they might fuse big and second toe if salvageable. Pins in his toes will be in for a minimum of 6 weeks. Surgeons will be going back in Friday to assess tendons, circulation.

He currently has a bear hugger machine on his leg to help increase blood flow.
