Help Ashley and Ruby After Devastating Accident in Mexico

This past Sunday, July 6th, my three nieces were involved in a horrific car accident while vacationing in Mexico. Just two days earlier, Ashley had celebrated her Quinceañera on July 4th — a joyful milestone that quickly turned into tragedy.

Ashley is now in critical condition, suffering from multiple fractures, and her cousin Ruby is also in critical condition. Both girls face a long and uncertain road to recovery, and they are still not out of danger.

Due to the severity of their injuries, they were transported to a private hospital in Mexico to receive the best care possible. However, with that care comes overwhelming and unexpected costs. In many cases, private hospitals require upfront payment to continue life-saving treatment — even in emergencies.

At this time, transporting the girls to the U.S. is not an option, and the family simply does not have the resources to cover the extensive medical treatment they urgently need.

Ayuda para Ashley y Ruby tras un devastador accidente en México

Este pasado domingo 6 de julio, mis tres sobrinas estuvieron involucradas en un terrible accidente automovilístico mientras estaban de vacaciones en México. Solo dos días antes, Ashley había celebrado su Quinceañera el 4 de julio — un momento lleno de alegría que tristemente se convirtió en tragedia.

Ashley se encuentra actualmente en estado crítico, con múltiples fracturas, y su prima Ruby,  también está en estado crítico. Ambas tienen por delante una larga y complicada recuperación, y aún no están fuera de peligro.

Debido a la gravedad de sus lesiones, fueron trasladadas a un hospital privado en México para recibir la mejor atención posible. Sin embargo, ese tipo de atención conlleva costos inesperados y muy elevados. En muchos casos, los hospitales privados exigen el pago anticipado incluso en situaciones de emergencia para continuar con el tratamiento necesario.

En este momento, no es posible trasladar a las niñas a los Estados Unidos, y la familia no cuenta con los recursos económicos para cubrir todo lo que se necesita.

Por eso, les pedimos su apoyo. Si pueden donar, sin importar la cantidad, su ayuda será fundamental para que Ashley y Ruby reciban el tratamiento médico que tanto necesitan. Si no pueden donar, les agradeceríamos mucho que compartan esta campaña con otras personas.
