Ashley and Justin go to Uganda

Hey everyone! Ashley and I have been blessed with the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Uganda, October 9th-20th. This will be Ashley's first trip to Uganda and my second. We are so excited to partner with some familiar organizations, as well as some new ministries.
During my trip to Uganda last year, our team partnered with two organizations: She Is More Than, an organization that rescues and rehabilitates young women from sexual abuse and sexual slavery. Our team was able to not only bring the message of the Good News to these young women, but we also got to spend time playing games with them, allowing them to feel their age again and show them that not everyone in the world is trying to get something from them, as well as encouraging them as they move forward from their bondage and into freedom. The other organization we partnered with was Mercy Childcare, a ministry of Mercy Church Uganda, which rescues children from the streets and gives them a home with a mother, father, and other children to grow up with. During our time with this ministry, our team offered some help to the house mothers by doing a few chores around the house, as well played with and loved on the kids. We were also able to help lay a concrete pad for Mercy Church while we were there. My time in Uganda was a pivotal moment for me, and changed the trajectory of my walk with God.
During this trip, we will be partnering with She Is More Than and Mercy Childcare again, as well as two new ministries. Beauty for Ashes and Miracle Destiny Schools. Beauty for Ashes Uganda works towards long-term sustainable development and deep healing for single moms and widows. They do this by building women's coops in different villages in the area, empowering the women of the region.
This is the largest fundraiser that Ashley and I have ever been a part of and would be honored if you would partner with us as we prepare for all that God has in store for us on this trip. There is no amount too small. We also need lots of people praying for us and spreading the word, and would be so thankful for all of your support.
