Ashley and Jeff's journey to parenthood

Hello, this fundraiser has been created by Ashley and Jeff's family, and the story was written by Ashley's best friend. We hope you will take a second to read! :)

For so many people, starting a family is a dream that comes relatively easy but for some, the end goal isn’t always a straight shot. If you know Ashley and Jeff, then you know two people who are kind, caring, and would give the shirts off their backs for whoever needed it. They’re outgoing, adventurous, family oriented, and give so much love to the people around them that it’s unreal how much they have to go around. Ashley and Jeff have spent the last (almost) 6 years cultivating their love story and since getting married in 2022, have been focused on adding a little one to their next chapters. Unfortunately, this journey came to a startling halt at the end of 2023 when Ashley, recently diagnosed with endometriosis, underwent a routine surgery to remove scar tissue. She had been warned that losing one or both fallopian tubes could happen, depending on how much scarring was discovered, but Ashley along with her entire support system were hopeful that this wouldn’t be the case. Upon waking up, Ashley was told that both of her tubes had to be removed due to the severe scarring. This news hit Ashley like a truck, despite having been warned of the possibility, which I think anyone can empathize with. I remember getting the message from her with the news and instantly bursting into tears. Ashley and I have been friends, like sisters, for over 20 years and if I know anything about her, it’s how desperately she wants to become a mother. Her nature is suited to every sense of what motherhood requires, Jeff has the traits necessary to be a great father, and I know this is something that they both long for in their hearts.

While they would be happy with taking other avenues to become parents, IVF is the first journey they wish to embark on, but they do need some financial support to get there. Ashley’s family has expressed a want and willingness to create and facilitate this gofundme for them to see if their support system can rally around them and help them achieve this dream. We aren’t asking for much, whatever you feel you can donate to help them achieve their dream of becoming parents is enough. Whether it’s $100 or $1, it’s appreciated all the same.
