Ashleigh's Mission to Haiti
I have always had an ever-present desire to serve on a mission trip and for the past few years I have been itching to take the leap. Finally, the opportunity has presented itself and I have the chance to serve with mission of hope in Haiti in February. However, to embark on this exciting adventure I need some assistance!
Asking for help is never easy, especially monetary help, but these funds are going to a great cause.
Haiti fights an uphill battle with limited resources, compared to most of us. Yet the Haitians are optimists and still thankful for the beautiful day that they have. Mission of Hope serves Haiti daily by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the Haitian population.
My goal is to raise $1000. While a portion of that will help me with my cost for the actual trip, I am also using your generous donations for actual supplies such as water filters, goats, solar lighting, trees, and more (http://www.mohhaiti.org/capro jects).
I am also building hygiene kits that include: bar soap, deodorant, toothbrush and paste, dental floss, shampoo (150z) and hand sanitizer.
