Ashleigh’s fight against mysterious brain lesions

Donation protected
We’re raising this money to help aid the increasing medical costs that Ashleigh Tracy and her husband Chandler are facing as she goes through diagnostics and treatment for the cause of lesions on her brain.

Anyone that knows Ashleigh, knows that she is possibly the most positive and bright soul you’ll ever meet. She is bubbly, kind, outgoing, funny, and a great listener. She is a great friend.

Ashleigh and Chandler welcomed a stunningly beautiful little girl named Caleigh on July 9th of this year. Labor was longer than expected, but Ashleigh and Caleigh were both healthy and happy following the delivery.

Early on Monday July 27th, Ashleigh was struggling to maintain her balance and began slurring her speech. When they arrived at the hospital, the doctors immediately suspected a stroke. They began treating her immediately. Later in the morning on Monday, Ashleigh and Chandler were told that Ashleigh had 3 strokes— some of which had affected the speech and motor portions of her brain.

The next day the results from angiogram concluded that there were no clots in her brain. They continued to test for a myriad of different causes for the strokes, but were unable to find a cause.

On Wednesday evening, they were told that even though they haven’t been able to find a cause they would be sending Ashleigh home, and that they would need to follow a standard stroke out-patient follow-ups and treatment.

Shortly after arriving home, Ashleigh exhibited all of the same symptoms she had before and they were back in the hospital in the early morning. She was transferred to a Harborview Hospital that has the best stroke unit in the state. CT scan after CT scan, MRI after MRI, all concluded that they couldn’t find the cause of the strokes.

After additional stroke-like episodes the doctors concluded that lesions on her brain were most likely from MS or some other auto-immune disease rather than a stroke.

Ashleigh is still in the hospital as they continue to run tests and attempt to diagnose what’s causing the lesions on her brain.

The medical bills are only increasing, and unfortunately there isn’t an immediate end in sight for her stay at hospital, but they are hopeful that some plasma transfusions will enable her to go home.

We’re asking for friends and family to donate $10,000 to be able to help Ashleigh, Chandler, and new baby Caleigh cover the costs of Ashleigh’s treatment and rehabilitation. There is a possibility that we will need to increase the amount over the coming week, but we want to start here to be able to help as soon as possible.

The money will immediately cover the stays and treatments that Ashleigh has had at two different hospitals in the Seattle, WA area. It will also go to cover the plasma, auto immune lumbar tests, MS medications, and out patient speech and motor rehabilitation that Ashleigh has been told to anticipate.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
