Ashleigh's Breast Cancer journey #fcancer
Donation protected
My name is Corey and I am Ashleigh's brother. At the very young age of 37 my sister Ashleigh has been diagnosed with breast cancer. As you can imagine this has rocked our worlds! However we received some positive news last week that it's only Stage 2 (not Stage 3 as originally thought). We all remain positive this has been discovered early and there will only be positive outcomes from here on in.
Ashleigh's treatment journey will include chemotherapy to shrink the lump before surgery to remove it. Her chemo treatments will start this week or next.
We are not sure yet just how much Ashleigh's cancer treatment is going to cost; there are so many elements to consider and we unfortunately don't know all of those yet. However we know that with chemo, specialist appointments and surgery it's looking a lot like $10,000+!
We have all had a rough couple of years with some affected financially also. This unfortunately included Ash and Glenn plus they moved interstate not long before Ashleigh's cancer diagnosis.
Ashleigh is an incredible human being, much loved by so many!! As you all know her hair matches her amazing personality - vibrant, exciting and hot pink!
One thing very important to Ashleigh throughout this journey is keeping her hair. Her hair means everything to her and for that reason Ashleigh will be undertaking a form of chemotherapy involving Cold Caps. Although it may be painful and hot, there is a 60% chance Ashleigh will keep her hair. Cold Caps are more expensive, but we all consider worth the try. Please keep all your fingers crossed Ashleigh is a part of the 60% who keeps their hair.
Anything at all you're able to donate, no matter how small will go towards Ashleigh's cancer treatment and surgery journey. There are no words to describe how much we appreciate your help and assistance.
What the funds will go to?
The funds will go towards Ashleigh's cancer treatment and surgery journey however if there was to be any funds leftover they can go towards a holiday for Ashleigh; something to look forward to throughout this strenuous and potentially lengthy treatment and surgery. Something for Ashleigh to do once she is cancer free! #fuckcancer
