Ashleigh and Craig Financial Recovery

Hey all, as most of you know my name is Craig and my wife is Ashleigh.

The To Long/Didn't read version of this is: Ash and I have lost $35k in medical bills over the last 18 months. We'd love it if you can help us recover some of that.

Over the last 3 years we have struggled with Ashleigh's chronic illnesses being Endometriosis, PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome, and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome.

This has led us to multiple hospital trips, private and public, many hospital stays for more than 3 days at a time and extensive expenditure on all the associated medical costs.

Ashleigh's conditions are generally not very well researched and that lack of research is the main cause of us being fobbed off by doctors at most visits to hospital's.

It is not all doom and gloom! Recently Ash had an operation with one of the Top Endo Surgeons in Perth Dr Jennifer Pontrey. This surgery saw an adhesion around one of her ovaries, which was cut away, an adhesion on her abdominal wall attached to her bowels cut away, and many spots of Endo excised.

As with all medical issues this has been a financial black hole, as we funnel more of our savings into it as time goes by. Over the last 18months alone we have spent over $35000 on hospital bills, radiology, hospital stays, medications that might or might not work, insurance, hospital parking, and other related expenses.

For my birthday this year I would like to open up this GoFundMe to try and recover some of the lost money. Some of you know that Ash and I are building a house and we had grant money to help with that. Most of that is now gone.

We look to leaning on our friends and family more than we'd like and would love to be able to stand on our own two feet once again.
