Ashland Wisconsin Fireworks Fundraiser

Celebrations Inc is looking for donations for Ashland,Wisconsins 2021 Fireworks.
Usually Mark Drolson & I go to all Ashland's local businesses and ask them for donations for the fireworks display, and every year they came through for us. Thank you.
With the impact from covid and many businesses closing and loss of jobs for many we did not believe it appropriate to make our annual plea for donations.
So we are making a change this year.
Mark said let's do a GFM page and ask the citizens of Ashland,Wi and anybody else who would want to to make a donation for the fireworks. But if you are not comfortable with using GoFundMe to make your donation we have an account set up at Northern State Bank where you can drop off your donation or if you want to mail a check to Northern State Bank, 321 Main St W. Let me tell you, fireworks aren't cheap. To put on the displays that Mark has done over the years is anywhere's from a $18,000 to $ 25,000 expense. 

UPDATE:Mark has pre-ordered the fireworks and the cost is going to be $17,000. The fireworks company needs to know by June 30th to fill the order to get here in time. If the donations go beyond what we need the excess will go towards 2022's fireworks.

Let's show our patriotic spirit and lets help make 2021 one of Ashland's biggest fireworks displays ever.
You all know there's not a bad seat along Ashland's shoreline. Folks find their special spots along the hillsides to take in the show. Every year at the end of the fireworks display you can hear the crowd shouting out hoots and cheers to show the folks shooting off the fireworks that they did an awesome job. Also, all the folks watching the fireworks from their boats are blowing their horns showing approval.

So with your help, let's get er done. Any amount will be appreciated.

Here's what is happening in Ashland  over the July 4th weekend.

The Stripes carnival show will be here this year. Civic Center area. They will be in town from July 1st - 4th.
The parade begins at 11am, with the possibility of the 148 Fighter Wing out of Duluth having two fighter jets fly over during the parade.
The Ashland fire-run will be at 9:30pm with the fireworks starting at 10pm.
I always heard that Ashland's Fire run is the only one done in the Country. It's pretty cool to see almost every emergency vehicle come driving down Ashland's Main Street with their lights flashing and their sirens blaring away. It gets deafening as they drive by.

So again, with your help let's make this happen. This can be our way of thanking the businesses for all the years they donated to make Ashland's fireworks happen.

Celebrations Inc would like to thank you now because we believe we will hit our $25,000 goal because when the chips are down, the folks of Ashland and surrounding towns come together and make things happen. Celebrations Inc has other expenses that also have to be paid towards Ashland's 4th of July festivities.
If the donations go beyond what we need the excess will go towards 2022's fireworks.
