Ashland, NE Flood Relief for Poell Family
Donation protected
I'm Kim Hansen from Omaha, Nebraska
The flood of 2019 has affected so many families including my son and his family.
It is truly devastating and yet, they like so many other Nebraskans, will take it one day at a time and we will get through this.
My son and his wife, Jeremy and Megan Poell, had to evacuate their home on March 17th after the levy broke near Ashland.
They have no basement and had 3.5 + feet of standing water in their home so they have lost most everything due to the water damage. They have been left with a shell of their home and can’t move back in until they have at least a working kitchen. They do not qualify for any FEMA assistance. Any and all funds will be used to begin rebuilding their home and replacing necessities. Such as New kitchen Appliances, New windows, Etc.
Since I am managing the GoFundMe I will be withdrawing the funds into my account and cutting Jeremy and Megan a check for the full amount received.
They have had an amazing support group reaching out to them and offering them any kind of help possible.
Megan and Jeremy are always offering a helping hand within their community. They volunteer for multiple organizations and would give the shirt off their backs to help someone else out.
They have two beautiful girls Lizzi (8) and Delaney (5); my grandchildren.
It was 6 short months ago they moved their family into what was to be their forever home.
I have had so many wonderful clients and friends ask me how they can help. This a time when the power of prayer and friends could really help where it’s needed.
Jeremy and Megan are graduates of UNL, Megan grew up in Ashland, Jeremy in Omaha and a Creighton Prep graduate. I know the circle is wide and do hope you will share this post.
