I am embarking on a transformative journey of ancestral healing, joining a group of other travelers for a 9-month program centered around a 15-day trip to Poland in July 2026. This will be a journey of personal and collective Jewish healing. Personally, I will be supported in diving into my own lineage and learning about what was lost in the process of immigration and assimilation. Collectively, we will restore and heal our connection with the Jewish lands, ancestors, culture, history, and traditions of Eastern Europe.
Throughout this journey, we will seek out what’s been lost, forgotten, destroyed, or purposely left behind—embracing both the beauty and pain of our Ashkenazi heritage in service of personal, ancestral, and ultimately, collective healing and liberation. We will ask important questions about how the ways we memorialize Jewish trauma have impacted us, and how we can bring true healing to our trauma so that it fuels our work for collective liberation. This is a chance to reclaim Jewish heritage, culture, and life from decades mired in fear and victimization.
Committing to this trip was a leap of faith, but feels important at this time in my life and in history. I’m sharing this fundraiser only with family and friends, and your support would mean so much to me as I take this step toward healing and connection.
