Asheville Emergency Fund

Dusty Fox and Ken Vallario have made a huge impact on the lives of so many people. As educators, artists and key members of the Camp Scatico community, they always prioritize children, family, students, neighbors. But now they — and their local community — need our help.

The situation in Asheville, NC is devastating following Hurricane Helene — toxic mud, flooding, destruction. Schools are closed indefinitely. Highways are closed for many months. Tens of thousands still have no water or power. Basic needs are not being met such as food and access to clean water. Residents do not know when or where they can get gasoline, find a place to bathe, do laundry, get toiletries, ice, etc. The trauma is intense, especially after COVID.

My name is Amy Tunick and Dusty’s dearest, oldest friends and I are raising funds to support Dusty, Ken, and the Asheville community during this time of need.

1) Help Dusty and Ken get basic needs for their family and community. Food, water, gasoline, toiletries, etc.

2) Help local charities Beloved Asheville and Manna Food Bank as they work hard to rebuild the community.
