Asheville Hurricane Helene Help

Hey everyone! My name is Drew Handley, I recently moved to Asheville- right next to the River Arts District and French Broad River- I arrived home Friday morning from a 24 hour drive to already catastrophic damage.. little did I know it it was only the beginning. I actually drove on 3 roads that were no longer open due to landslides, flooding or total collapse within hours after I drove over them!
I was lucky, so many others were not. Please help me help them.
As you’ve heard/read by now, Asheville and the surrounding areas have recently been hit hard by a devastating hurricane, and many in our community are struggling to recover from the catastrophic and unexpected damage.
Asheville is now getting supplies and people are able to use phones and fuel up their cars. No water for 30-60 days… but water seems to be accesible to most.
This is NOT THE CASE in smaller towns north and west of Asheville. There are still hundreds of people missing.
190 + people have died.
I am working with a team of amazing humans at Spark Robotic in Mars Hill to get resources to the towns that need it.
The owner of Spark Robotic, Frank immediately took action and has been an incredible force in getting supplies and resources to places that need them.. to list a few.. Barnardsville, Burnsville, Spruce Pine, Swannanoa, Celo, Little Switzerland.. They still have no cell service- only accessible by 4x4s, and have very limited supplies.
