Ashes to Diamond

On September 28, 2017, I lost my father to bipolar and major depressive disorder. 

In my grief, I sought ways to preserve his memory when I came across ALGORDANZA, which specializes in transforming the ashes of loved ones into diamonds. It seemed like the perfect way for me to preserve my dad's memory while carrying him with me.

I miss my dad every day - when I get a good grade, when I'm going to get coffee, when I'm alone with my thoughts. I wish he was here not only to make more memories, but to witness who I become. As time passes, and those memories become more distant, I hope this pendant will be a way I can carry him, and the memories we made together, with me always. 

So whether I am crying over a breakup, graduating from college, or walking down the aisle at my own wedding, a piece of him will be walking with me, and the part of him that has left this world will smile, and I won't be so alone.
