In 2021, Asher was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a condition in which the left side of his heart never fully developed. His doctors decided it was necessary for Asher to complete a series of three open-heart surgeries. Asher has completed the first two open-heart surgeries (1 Norwood Procedure ; 2 Glenn Procedure), and is now preparing for his third (3 Fontan Procedure).

In this third, and hopefully final surgery, the doctors will be completing the procedure that will allow Asher the opportunity to live a long and active life.
