Asher Kolt was born on the 18th of November, 2023 to Kiara and Robert Gunnick. Kiara is the daughter of one of our loved CRNA's at Sanford, Stephanie Honken. At some point this week, Asher began to not feed well and was eventually admitted into Sanford hospital. On Thursday, December 7th, he took a turn for the worse, and it was discovered that he had coarctation of the aorta and he was in heart failure. He was then flown to the university of Wisconsin's American Family Children's hospital located in Madison, Wisconsin along with his dad, while his mom and grandma drove 6 1/2 hours to be with him too. He will undergo open heart surgery today, December 8th, however the road ahead is still unknown. The family will have a lot of unknown medical, travel, food, and gas bills, and we would like to support them through this hard time.
