Carlos is a husband and father. Carlos has been on this long journey to recovery for 14 years, his first diagnosis took place when he was 29 years old. The 1st diagnosis was Non Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage 4. Some time passed and he was able to bounce back but then the sad news of the cancer resurfacing happened. The diagnosis was Lymphoma B-Cell, it was a struggle but he always remained as optimistic as possible and powered through. Some time passed and he was then diagnosed with Lymphoma B-Cell with EBV (Ebstein Barr Virus). As much as he continued his healthy eating habits, making sure he stayed active by regular exercise and keeping that positivity, all of a sudden he had a stroke causing nerve damage to his eye… yet another obstacle to knock down. Carlos was then diagnosed with Lymphoma B-Cell and T-Cell with EBV, he finished with his treatment in December 2019, then in March 2020 he was diagnosed with Lymphoma T-Cell with EBV in his neck. The tumor on in his neck is obstructing the airway along with vocal cords, due to this obstruction all his food intake is going into his lungs causing bacteria. At this time Carlos is unable to eat if it's not through a feeding tube. He also has Pneumonia and kidney stones. The doctors are saying at this point he has a low chance of being able to combat this. Amongst these moments of darkness there may be a ray of hope!
At this time the options are limited and the time to act is now. There is close to no time left. Carlos has the option of Alternative Medicine! At the moment we are working with an alternative medicine clinic located in California. The Doctors in those clinics are willing to take on his case. Treatment runs from $60,000 to $80,000 USD. He will also need IV therapies with vitamins that cost an additional $250.00USD- $400.00USD each session which he will need 3-5 sessions a week. Carlos will need a way of transportation to the clinic where he will be hospitalized to receive his alternative medicine treatment. Due to the difficulty with travel many of his family members have not been able to provide the help they would like and for his Wife it has been difficult to juggle work and making sure to be able to care for him the way she needs to. The economical difficulty is dire to say the least. The estimate with the treatment to come and transportation for Carlos his wife and daughter along with expenses that include food, place to stay among keeping up with the essential living expenses will add up to $100,000.00.
Carlos has strived to keep going and not look back. Not letting his mind and emotions fall back to the level of his physical health. He wants to continue to fight and be there for his wife and daughter now and for the future to come.
