Asha Haddox-Rossiter is in the seventh grade has a strong desire to be a "global citizen". In her Social Studies class, they often discuss the importance of having a wide view of the world, and making a contribution to an international community. This upcoming February, she has been given the opportunity to participate in an international study trip as a Cultural Ambassador. The 8-day trip to Italy is sponsored by her middle school, and will provide Asha with an understanding of world languages, global cultures and international issues, cultivating her global competence.

The funds for the trip are due in early January, so we know that it is a short turnaround. However, we remain hopeful and prayerful that, with help, she will be able to participate in this awesome opportunity and take her first steps in "global citizenship".
