Ashanti's Urgent Need for Shelter

Hello, I’m Ashanti Robinson and on June 19th, 2025, a storm occurred. While my sister, niece, and I were downstairs by ourselves, the next thing we hear is a loud crash from the back of the house.

My sister turns and looks at me. I thought it was just thunder, but as soon as I saw my sister’s face, I knew there was something wrong.

I run upstairs and open the door to my room only to see the ceiling, roof, and rain had completely covered and destroyed all my items.

It’s been about a month and four weeks, and the landlord and contractor haven’t started working on the house. I have nowhere to lay my head, I lost all my items, clothing, shoes, sentimental items, literally everything.

I’m trying to reach a goal of $460 so I can get a hotel room to lay my head. It’s very hard on me mentally, and I don’t have anywhere else to go. I’m just trying to make it through the month.
