Ash Smith

On the 7th of April, we tragically lost our mate Ash Smith, a devoted 38-year-old father of three young children, and a hardworking coal miner who gave everything to support his family. Despite his strength and determination, Ash battled silently with the "black dog", a struggle that ultimately took him from us far too soon.

He was a loving father who always put his children first, providing for them through his tough and demanding job. His spirit was one of resilience, but the weight of mental health struggles is often too heavy to bear alone. His passing has left a profound hole in the hearts of his family and friends

and we want to ensure that his children, who are now left without their father, have the support they need as they navigate this difficult time.
