Ash and Seb Race the Train for Swansea Gambia Link
Donation protected
Hello! I’m Ash and this year I’m running the 14-mile Race the Train Event in Tywyn with my partner Seb to raise money for the Swansea Gambia Link!
The Swansea Gambia Link is a student-led partnership at Swansea University Medical School to provide training opportunities, improve healthcare standards and share knowledge between The Gambia and Wales.
We're fundraising to bring students from The Gambia to Swansea medical school for two-weeks. While they’re here they join us on placement, take part in lectures, and explore the culture of Wales.
Your generosity empowers aspiring doctors to widen their horizons, understand global health, and strengthen medical education internationally. Every donation goes towards the Gambian students and their educational experience while they’re here.
This Race takes place in Tywyn, Wales on Saturday the 17th of August and this event will be my biggest challenge yet! Seb and I will be aiming to beat the train, which completes the 14-mile course at 1 hour 47 minutes, faster than I have ever run! With 20 weeks to go and being full of excitement having recovered from a running injury, I am really looking forward to the challenge of this event for a really good cause. Thank you so much for your support and any help that you can give towards helping to fundraise for Swansea Gambia Link!

I have had a few issues with setting up the transfers to the SGL bank account so we have agreed that I will transfer the money from my account to theirs. I will post confirmation of this once it is completed!
