Hi everyone out there♥️ My name is Candy, and I’ve started this page to raise funds for my incredible father-in-law, Butch, who was recently diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer. This week he had a port put in to prepare for chemo treatments, he will be scheduling a procedure for a feeding tube, is waiting to schedule a PET scan, and will be starting chemotherapy, radiation, and waiting for surgery. Butch is determined to “work until he can’t work anymore”, but the financial burden is heavy. Every little bit from family, friends, and the community will help as our family navigates this difficult journey with him.

Butch and his wonderful wife Nancy are two of the sweetest and most selfless people I’ve ever met. In fact, Butch was hesitant to ask others for help, and he doesn’t expect from

anyone, but I assured him that there are resources out there to help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, and that people who love and care for him WANT to help!!

Butch is the most hardworking man. He’s worked hard his whole life to care for his family, and he has always been someone to give the shirt off his back for another. I am so grateful to be a part of his family, to feel all the love they share with each other… and to see him with my children… ohhh how they love their Pépère!! Butch is an exceptional man… he lives a life of simplicity and gratitude. Even talking with him about his diagnosis, he said, “it’s not the end of the world because I wake up happy every day. I love my family.”
