Hi, our names are Bailey, Will, Charlie, Hector and Tom and over the Easter period we're going to be taking on the almost 25 mile long and 1600m ascent Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge with the aim to complete it under 12 hours in honour of one of our best friends Arthur.
After being diagnosed with leukaemia in 2023 at just 16 years old, Arthur had an extremely tough and courageous battle with the disease over a two and a half year long period. Over Christmas, Arthur sadly passed away on the 18th of December at the age of 18 which left a huge hole in many of our hearts. During his time in hospital he received exceptional care from the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. Therefore all funds that we raise will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust charity to help young people like Arthur through extremely tough times.
Those who knew Arthur will know the positive impact that he had on everybody around him and how he would always put others first and care about them even when he was severely ill. Arthur taught us countless lessons with one being to never give up when times got tough and to stay strong till the very end. So although this task may be challenging we will persevere and stay strong just as Arthur always did.
When completing this challenge we will be taking on the theme of pink in Arthur's honour as it was his favourite colour.
We thank you for taking the time to read this, all donations no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated and if you can't donate all we ask is if you could please share with as many people as possible.
Thank you,
-Bailey, Will, Charlie, Hector, Tom
