Hey friends and family and whosoever!
I am Len Griffin. My wife Sharon and I have pastored Covenant of Grace Christian Fellowship for 31 years here in North Central Phoenix. I have had a lifelong dream of hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. The PCT is a trail that begins at the Mexican Border near Campo California and runs through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Cascade Mountains in Oregon, and through Washington State to the Canadian Border. It is 2,650 miles long and takes about five months to hike it straight through. Our Elders here at COG have graciously granted me a sabbatical to pursue this goal. My purpose, besides fulfilling this dream, is to seek the Lord for His direction for the next season of my life in ministry. I will be hiking with my good friend and former Board Chairperson, Jerry O’Farrell. It costs between 4 and 8 thousand dollars to hike the trail, which includes initial gear purchases, transportation, food, lodging, resupply and miscellaneous expenses. My goal is to raise 6 thousand dollars to fund this trip. I would be very grateful for any and all support you could give toward this trip. I will also be grateful for you to share this goal with your network of friends.
