Hi, I'm Brian and I'm climbing Mount Snowdon on 21st June in the hope of raising some money for Aslan Hope in Sport (aslanhis.org) - an amazing charity which works to bring hope to children and young people who live in the disadvantaged communities (townships) around Cape Town in South Africa - PLEASE SPONSOR ME!! For over ten years Aslan-HIS has worked with hundreds (probably thousands) of kids teaching sports skills and positive life values, like self control and team work. A typical outreach session includes training, teaching, a match and some very welcome food and drink. There is very high unemployment and a great deal of poverty in these communities and Aslan creates paid employment by mentoring and training up older youth as coaches and deploying them professionally to schools who pay for their services as sports coaches.
