This is Loki. He is my two year old lab mix, and I've been raising him since he was six weeks old. He has a blockage, and it has caused him to throw up about eleven times over the last two days. He's lost a lot of weight because of it. It's made him extremely dehydrated. We took him to our local vet clinic, where they sent him to the Animal Hospital and Specialty building in Byron Center. The doctors said that he'll need surgery to remove the blockage. We've already paid two thousand dollars, and the doctors said that the surgery will cost anywhere from 5 to 7 thousand ddollars. Update: We have him home now, and the veterinarian said he might be able to pass it naturally but there's a good chance he'll still need the surgery. The hospital said that if he doesn't get better within 48 hours, we can take him back up and they'll waive part of the fee. I'm praying he'll pass it today or tomorrow, but if he doesn't then we're going to take him to a veterinary hospital down in Ann Arbor, where we can use a mixture of whatever we have here on GoFundMe and whatever loan services we can qualify for, even though most that we've already tried for have denied us.
