As you may know our dear friend & former student, Asante Contreras was in a vehicle collision on Sunday May 3rd in San Antonio, TX. Asante was heading home from his EMT shift when he was struck by a wrong way driver. Asante was one final test from becoming a licensed paramedic, a selfless career he felt was his calling. We are all very saddened and shocked by this unexpected departure. Our comfort is that we'll see him again one day.
