Medical expenses for our brother Adam Affi.

Asalaam alaikum. Greetings brothers and sisters, family and friends,

We would like to request your support in raising funds for our brother Adam Affi, who had been admitted in ICU with severe COVID-19 since 17 July. After weeks of intensive care, Affi was moved to a regular ward on 7 August and his situation is improving daily. He is however expected to remain admitted in hospital for a number of days and will also require continued medical support and home care once discharged.

Affi’s extended family have been able to raise ~KES 2,238504 million (~$20499 USD) out of a total medical bill of ~ KES 4.5 million (~41,000 USD), which continues to rise.

The pandemic has had a devastating impact, especially in Kenya due to lack of access to vaccines, limited health care capacities, and limited social protection mechanisms. Affi and his family (widowed mother and a brother with special needs) will be grateful for any support to offset the medical bills.

Affi is a smart, sweet, and kind 29 year old who hopes to work in finance to support his mother and brother. In his free time he enjoys watching soccer.
