Residents and visitors of Surfside Potrero likely recognize Juan Carlos Munguía Mendoza. For nearly 25 years, Juan Carlos has worked faithfully and with deep dedication to maintain and improve Asada Surfside's aqueduct (water system).

On the morning of October 10, Juan Carlos was following his daily routine of dropping off his wife for work at MarVista. As he was headed back to begin his workday in Surfside, he was involved in a serious accident that threw him from his motorcycle, causing severe injuries. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Nicoya. He is undergoing surgery for his injuries and will be unable to work for many months as he recuperates.

The family will be faced with various expenses related to his care plus have the need of repairing or likely replacing their only means of transportation. Juan Carlos has served our community well and we are asking for the community's generosity in his time of need.
