Hi, I'm Cyrus.
I write, produce, and release music under the name as you please, from my home in Berlin. If you found this page, you probably heard a song somewhere and followed the link. Thank you for that. It genuinely means something.
What the project is
as you please is a dream pop / bedroom pop / alternative project blending hazy synth textures, groove-forward basslines, and intimate vocals into atmospheric songs about time slipping away, nostalgia, and finding your path. Think Beach House and Men I Trust meeting Crumb and Metronomy, with enough grit that it never feels too polished.
The songs come out of a long road: growing up on the Atlantic coast near Biarritz surrounded by surf and alternative music, years of small venues in Hamburg, writing my first real songs under the palm trees in Costa Rica, and finally putting it all together in Berlin. Lyrically it's something like a personal blog set to music. Time slipping past, memories that only make sense later, people who leave quiet marks. Melancholic, but the good kind.
I don't need anyone to catch the exact stories. I'd rather you feel the sound, find the details you love in it, and make up your own.
Why I'm asking
I do nearly all of it myself: writing, production, artwork, marketing. That independence is the point, but it also means every release comes out of my own pocket. The work has picked up some momentum, including a studio grant from the city of Berlin, a win at the KulturLandKlänge competition in Chemnitz, radio play as far as South Wales, and playlists reaching tens of thousands of listeners. I'd like to keep that going without compromising how the music gets made.
Where the money goes
Mixing and mastering (I work with people like Daniel Verma, and good ears cost money)
Studio gear, plugins, and instruments
Photography, video, and visuals with collaborators like Gabriella Clifford
Distribution, promotion, and release costs
Rehearsal and live show expenses
Any amount helps
€5 covers a distribution fee. €25 helps pay for the ride to a venue. €100 gets a track mastered properly. And if you can't give anything, that's completely fine. Listening, saving a song, and sending it to one person who might like it does more than you'd think.
Thanks for being here <3
Cyrus
