Cycle in aid of the As Darragh Did Campaign

18 Garda members are fundraising for a Charity cycle from Clondalkin Garda Station to Athlone Garda Station (130km) in aid of the "As Darragh Did" (ADD) campaign. The ADD campaign was set up by Andrew McGinley in aid of his children who tragically died on the 24th January 2020.

Andrew made a promise to his children that he would continue to do what they loved most and to remember each of them individually and collectively for how thoughtful, inclusive and creative they were. In memory of Conor and Carla, he created the YouTube channel ‘Conor’s Clips’ for Conor, who had always wanted to set up his own channel and ‘Snowman for Carla’ because of her love of snow and building snowmen.

For Darragh, The ‘As Darragh Did’ (ADD) campaign was courageously created by Andrew in honour of him to continue in the way Darragh did during his short life. Darragh as described by his family was the most outgoing, caring and inclusive child no matter where he was. Darragh always thought about other children and always ensured everyone was involved. The charity was set up in Darragh's name to honour his memory, and continue the role in which lived everyday. The charity sets out supporting clubs and good causes nationally.

The cycle will take place on the 16th October 2021 and everyone involved in this is asking for your help to raise funds for the ADD campaign by supporting us.

•The funds will go directly to the As Darragh Did Campaign which supports clubs and good causes nationally.

•I have known the founder of the charity since January 2020 in a professional Garda manner

•Once the funds have been received I will
directly hand them to the charity via cheque.
