Arya's Medical Needs: A Call for Kindness

Hello everyone. Arya's meowmy Samantha, here. As you may know, Arya is a very special little kitty. She was born with feline dwarfism, which can come with a variety of additional medical issues; hers include asthma and chronic constipation. For the last 4 years, we've done pretty well managing this with a few trips to the emergency vet in really severe cases. In the last few months, she's been having a lot of asthma issues, with the last week or so being the worst. We've been treating her attacks to the best of our ability. Despite our efforts and medication, she's continued to have severe attacks. It's now to the point that we need to have her reevaluated by our vet.

As I'm sure you can imagine, this can be quite costly and time-consuming as well. It's due to this that we're asking for your help. Even just the basic tests for asthma, which include X-rays and diagnostics, can cost upwards of $600. The medications that are used to treat and manage asthma can be $200+ a month. It really does add up and is more than we can currently afford.

We don't like to have to ask for help, but we want to do everything we can to give Arya the best life possible. It's been absolutely terrifying watching her have these attacks. It's heartbreaking seeing the confusion and fear in her eyes as she looks to us for help and we can't do anything to comfort her. This is why we're coming to you, her community, for help. Update: Arya was seen at our vet and her lungs are showing signs of mineralization which is likely associated with her asthma. It was also found that she has a slightly enlarged heart. Hearing this has

shattered me and I'm terrified of what this means. Our vet has highly recommended Arya be seen by a cardiologist. We're not sure what the cost of this will be, but likely it will be quite high. As a result of this for now we have increased the GoFundMe amount and likely will increase it again once we have a better picture.
