We write with deep sorrow to share the tragic passing of Arun

Srinivasan (Batch of 2023), who was residing in Berkeley, CA.

Arun Srinivasan was a bright, hardworking young man who devoted his life to building a better future for his family. His sudden passing

has left his parents and loved ones devastated.

Arun, a proud alumnus of NIT Tiruchirappalli and a Master’s graduate

in Robotics from Northeastern University, was a brilliant engineer

driven by the dream of supporting his modest agricultural family in

Tamil Nadu. His journey from a small village to advanced machine

learning reflected his dedication and deep sense of responsibility

toward his parents.

Behind these achievements, Arun was quietly struggling with mental

health challenges. Tragically, he died by suicide, leaving his family

and loved ones heartbroken.

We have organized this fundraiser to help return Arun to his hometown in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, so his parents and loved ones can bid him a dignified farewell. Your contribution, of any amount, will directly support the expenses related to repatriation and funeral arrangements during this difficult times.
