It is with a heavy heart that my family and I share the sad news of the passing of our beloved father, Arturo Pacheco Veliz. Our father unexpectedly passed away on December 8, 2021, succumbing to heart disease. He is survived by his wife, Olga, of 43 years, his 4 children (Gabriel, Adriel, Evi, & Ismael), 6 grand children (Miguel, Abigail, Marissa, Joel, Alex, & Ethan), his siblings (Hortencia, Beatriz, Jose, Manuel, Carmen, Maria, & Martin). He is preceded in death by his parents (Ricardo & Marcelina Veliz), and sisters (Angelica, & Anastacia).
Our father retired in 2006, after completing 25 years of faithful service to the City of Dallas. I’m his free time my father enjoyed fishing and visits with his grand children in Dallas and Oklahoma City. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching competing games with his sons’ favorite team, the Pittsburg Steelers. Our father was full of life and love, and his laughter and smile could light up any room. If you knew our dad, you’d know how much he touched the lives of all those around them. Our hearts are comforted to know that he was so very loved by each and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
For those who have asked and wish to contribute monetarily to support our family with the unexpected expenses of the loss of our father, we have created this GoFundMe account. Any amount and support would be greatly appreciated so that our family can continue to grieve and process the loss of our father.
Services for our father will be held as follows:
