Few days ago my father Arturo Calderon was killed and left everyone in my family shocked and in pain. I still remember before 2009 when he was such a happy person and due to life circumstances that knocked him down such as illnesses and depression he was never able to fully recover. Life threw at him many battles that he fought hard but sometimes in life we can only do so much. Its unfair that none of us got to say goodbye. Its unfortunate that it had to happen this year as if the pandemic situation hasn't affected us enough. His life insurance was terminated a few months ago and was never renewed. My mother was left with many debt that my brother and I will help her out with. However, he also left behind my younger sisters of 15 and 7. I feel sad that my sister Grace will grow up without a father. At her young age I remember my dad so full of energy, happy and the love he had for us was immense.
