Who Are We?
Hey! I'm Sophie Angus, I'm 25 years old with a passion for supporting local talent. I run Princess Helena Arts Centre & Vixen Bar with the soon to be addition of Vixen Café, a vibrant, independent venue in the heart of Hartlepool.
Since opening our doors in March 2024, we've become a home for artists, musicians, students from Northern School of Art, and creatives of all kinds.
What We've Built:
Under one roof, we've created three amazing spaces that support artists, musicians, performers, and makers of all kinds:
Princess Helena Arts Centre (PHAC):
A welcoming space for all ages and abilities to get creative. We host:
- Workshops & tutorials
- Art displays & Mural making
- Opportunities to display & sell your artwork
- Collaborate with other artists
- Join our clubs & mingle with people of similar interests
- A constantly evolving home for Hartlepool's artistic energy
Vixen Bar:
The heart of our nightlife scene!
- Live music
- Fundraisers
- Themed events
- Dancing 'til your feet hurt
We're also expanding - with more room, more vibes, and a brand new beer garden coming soon!
Vixen Café - coming soon!
You new chill spot for homemade food, tasty drinks and comfy vibes. Perfect for working, relaxing, or catching up with friends.
Why We Need Your Help:
We’re aiming to raise £10,000 to:
- Repair & restore our beautiful (but aging) building - making it safer, more accessible, and sustainable
- Expand our creative spaces with more exhibitions, live shows, and community events
- Launch the Vixen Café and add an upstairs live music room
- Grow a vibrant, inclusive centre for creativity, collaboration, and culture in Hartlepool
