ArtsEd Educational Funding

Hi, my name is Lorenzo, and I’m a 15-year-old from Wandsworth with a deep passion for acting, theatre, and filmmaking. Since the age of 10, I have aspired to work in the artistic industry, and I’ve taken every opportunity to develop my craft—participating in productions, modeling, photoshoots, and even appearing in YouTube videos on well-known channels like Jolly and Korean Englishmen.

Now, I have the opportunity of a lifetime. I’ve been accepted into ArtsEd (Arts Educational Schools London)—one of the most prestigious performing arts schools in the world. At ArtsEd, I would study Film Studies A-Level, English Literature A-Level, and an Extended BTEC Diploma in Acting (equivalent to three A-Levels)—giving me a total of five A-Levels, two more than most students in the UK.

Unfortunately, despite my passion and hard work, a financial barrier is standing in my way. My current school does not offer drama as an A-Level, and I feel it cannot nurture my artistic ambitions. ArtsEd is the perfect fit for me—it’s close to home, it aligns with my dreams, and it will provide me with the best possible training for my future in the arts.

Following my audition, the school sent me this feedback alongside my acceptance letter:

“Lorenzo was an excellent candidate who had clearly taken a great deal of time and thought over his presentation. He answered our questions with maturity and depth and had evidently read and researched the article sent to the students with care. We were also very impressed with what he had introduced at his school in terms of the revision club and would like to commend his diligent attitude towards his studies. The brochure he prepared for us was a lovely touch, and he’d clearly gone to great lengths to consider his application seriously. He was a very polite young person who has an engaging and positive energy about him, and we would like him to know how much he impressed us.”

This feedback confirms what I already know—I belong at ArtsEd, and I have the dedication and talent to succeed. However, the only obstacle I face is financial.

The cost of attending ArtsEd is £8,990 per term, with three terms per year, making it £26,970 per year. Over the two years of Sixth Form, my total tuition would be £53,940. So the funds would go straight towards tuition fees and thé acceptance fee of £1,500.

If you believe that financial constraints should not determine a young person’s future, please consider supporting me in any way you can. Every bit of help brings me closer to the education that will shape my career and life.

I cannot express how much this means to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Best,
Lorenzo
