In Memory of Art Phillips Boxman
Donation protected
As many of you are aware, Art Phillips Boxman passed away from a rare form of cancer on June 19, 2016.
He was a treasured friend to so many. He will be remembered as a passionate man whose love for music and books (and baseball!) was surpassed only by a deeper love for his wife and dogs. Plus, it’s hard to forget all the stories and jokes he would tell. He never failed to get a smile from his signature line, “Good body every morning!”
Art’s advocacy for music and artists led to numerous career accomplishments. He put radio station KILO on the air in Colorado Springs and eventually went on to work at the trade publications Album Network and Billboard's Airplay Monitor. He also contributed his expertise to Hollywood Records, RCA Records, and the Welk Music Group before launching his own Art Phillips Music Marketing.
The final year of Art's life was spent going to doctors’ offices, getting medical tests, and undergoing treatments for what was eventually found to be cancer. He fought this battle as hard as he could but sadly passed away from it.
This GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help his beloved widow Jill. All funds raised will be used to defray the significant medical and hospice care expenses she now faces. Contributions of all amounts will help and are greatly appreciated.
