For the past 5 years I have been part of a small group of friends that assist the indigenous people of San Luis Potosí...past Christmas Laura Torres and I had raised enough money to buy toys for 120 children (using profits from our art sales and UNObyMitch)...our friends wanted to help so we decided to make a toy drive during my annual Open Studio and post it on my Facebook...the response was overwhelming...we received about 2700 toys...last summer on our annual yART SALE we raised enough money to assist 60 families with Back to School supplies...the response to help has been overwhelming...the TRUST people have is us has been humbling...Laura Torres and I (Grupo Xolome USA) have decided to open up a FB fundraising account to facilitate Facebook friends and family who wish to help...As a group we visit villages, see the need, talk to families and than determine who will benefit more from our assistance and who will be able to sustain themselves after we leave....this past years our journey has taken us further than we ever imaged...Thanks to the generosity of those who believe in us...we humbly ask for your support to continue our journey.
