Artists For Justice is a collective of artist-activists mobilizing their creativity to bring awareness and action to a variety of social-justice initiatives. We serve as a unique platform where artists, audiences, and allies can come together to take part in community action (i.e. donating to charity, signing a petition, reading about a critical issue, etc.) while supporting the creative works of diverse emerging artists.
As a mutual aid fund, our donations go towards fairly compensating our contributing artists and distributing the remaining funds to local organizations chosen by our artists. This way, our impact reaches a range of social-justice initiatives from criminal justice reform/abolishment, to stopping AAPI violence, supporting Indigenous land rights, and providing free mental health services to historically marginalized groups. We encourage you to check out our full list of featured organizations and view our contributing artists’ work to see how it works.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
GivingTuesday is an international day of generosity happening on November 30, 2021. This year, we ask you to donate to Artists For Justice to help compensate our talented contributing artists, give directly to our featured organizations, and support our collective as we continue to grow and develop. Any amount will help us reach our goal of raising $200 for Giving Tuesday!
Looking for a one-of-a-kind holiday gift with an impact? Check out our AFJ merchandise ranging from unique t-shirt designs to sustainable tote-bags. Proceeds from the merchandise go towards the artists who designed them and two featured organizations: the Indigenous Environmental Network and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights.
